How to Mentally Unwind Through Journaling

How do you start a journal? How do I start writing a journal?


Are you looking to start changing your life and you do not know how? And you want to do it at a low viable scale? If so then start looking to journaling. If you have ever wondered how to start a journal or even thought to yourself how do you start writing in a journal then you’re in the right place because I have written in over 10 journals since the quarantine.


I had a lot of thoughts!

Journaling is a great way to get out of depression and bring some demons out so you can nip them in the bud so can start taking profitable action steps to live the life that you desire. 



You deserve the life you desire; as long as you’re not hurting others or stepping on other people's toes.



Now you’re most likely thinking what should you write in your journal? Or where do you even begin? Do you have to showcase your journal to the public?



No, you don’t have to showcase your journal to the public-it is for you to keep and we can dive deep into how many different journals there are later in the blog post.



You first need to go ahead and purchase the journal that you choose and desire-you don’t need to get all fancy here-I legit get journals from my favorite place Erin Condren or Big Lots (however, they are much harder to find).



Erin Condren is great because they have spiral and non-spiral options-I choose the non-spiral options because the spiral is what I use for my planner; which is also what I purchase from them as well.

I even get my notebooks from them! 



Now you can see, that I am a fan of her material and she is one of the best on the market at a very reasonable rate and HIGH-quality goods, as well; however, I am always looking for planner suggestions (leave them down below). 



What should I write in my journal?



There are many steps into journaling that I can give you a whole class on the subject! 



Sometimes you just need to brain dump because there is so much junk in there that you have been suppressing back. 



Journaling is a great way to learn how to start getting over your fear and to start implementing these fears into putting your bravery into check.

Do you really want to be living in fear constantly or do you want to go ahead and say that you lived?

Ask yourself, what would you be doing? Remember, everything has a price point on it- you need money in order to have freedom. 

What are you doing to earn money?

That is the question you need to ask yourself today! 

You want to be making money from a place of alignment and not working at Statefarm. You want to be traveling the world and not in a hustle culture.

That is what you need to focus on. What is going to bring you happiness and joy? How can you embody it now?

Now that you asked yourself; what you should write in your journal. You are most likely asking.

What are the steps to journaling?


You purchased these amazing pens.

You purchased these amazing planers.

Now you need to ask yourself how do you enjoy writing? Do you enjoy bullet writing or long sentences? 

There is no right or wrong answer here. The thing is not to be afraid of your own emotions this is just for you.

You go this.

You can for example say-I would like a partner that is caring, kind, and respectful or a partner; caring, kind, respectful.

It truly is all up to you. 

There is no best journaling method-the key thing to ask is why are you avoiding the reality that you cannot stand? 

Create a new one by writing it down and then identifying the action it takes to take there. 

What's the difference between a journal and a diary?

A diary is a record of the day passing but a journal is something where you live and breathe feelings to create something new.

Think of it as a manifestation journal. 

I create scripting letters to myself of how I want my life to look like and how I want my life to be then I go from there.
