I was recently walking around my neighborhood and I literally couldn’t believe the shock that not everyone knew how to walk 15k steps in a day.




If you do not know the average amount of steps you should be walking is 10k steps along with a solid healthy (mental + emotional + physical) plan alongside it.




Since the gyms are close and I kinda don’t really want to work out from home right now (enjoying this time off from the gym) I decided to just walk 20k steps every other day because I decided I was NOT going to gain weight during this quarantine.

.




Matter of fact, I decided I was going to lose body fat and weight during this quarantine so enter a low cost of entry fee walking.




Now I have to say, I’m blessed-I live in a beautiful luscious green neighborhood and I see deers, hawks and hear the birds chip away when I walk but it doesn’t matter you should be walking outside no matter where you’re at.

Walking is good for you and you’re doing this FOR YOU. I don’t care if you have to walk in your pjs-walk!




So you’re literally asking yourself, how does this girl run two businesses, produce content, eat healthy and land 20k steps a day?




Simple, I plan to allocate my time, block my time, and channel the future person who I am becoming.




What do I mean?




Well I  have this thing when I die, I want to be the ideal person I can be when I meet our maker and a lot of it is tied to living healthy. 




Healthy body fat, muscle to increase your endurance.

So making sure, I plan out my day is essential-one thing I like to do is brain dump everything that I need to do for the day-focusing on HIGH priority items in the categories of health, wealth, mindset and business. 


For this post, we will focus on planning around health.

So first we set our goal: 10k, 15k, 20k, 30k ( if you 40k steps during this quarantine and you’re not at Disney World-I need to talk to you!)



If you wake up at 700am and you need to be at your office at 730am-your wake up time should be 600am/630am.



Why?

You’re not rushing to work (even if you work at home) but you have time to make and drink your coffee, drink some H20, get dressed, brush your teeth and walk at least 6k steps before you get into work.



First, if you live in a neighborhood, even an apartment complex-I want you to change your mindset from 6k steps into 3 FULL and complete streets and listening to the birds sing.



(birds sing everywhere!)



Notice nature on your walks! When you’re up and awake before anyone-you’re not talking to anyone but you, your higher self and your creator; then you’re noticing the sun-rays hit the barks of trees or buildings-you begin to notice how once something was dark but with a touch of light they’re alive.

When you’re walking in the early morning-it’s a great way to begin to say positive affirmations to yourself.








Since, I also own a business on the side which is heavily involved on social media-my big mindset is comparison and believing in success. I then identify what I am telling myself, example:






“I can’t have her success-it won’t happen to me because I’m not pretty enough.

Into

I can have my version of success, impact millions through my creative endeavors because I’m one of kind, gorgeous, diplomatic, kind PLUS I’m consistently showing my feathers like a peacock.”






I repeat these affirmations to myself-DAILY. 






So, you’re next step is going to identify one mindset block that is hindering you and you kinda want to get rid of it-the night before you walk in the morning. (repeat the positive affirmation before you go to bed!



Now that you’re up to 6k steps before you get to work in the morning, you want to then plan out for your afternoon walk which should be scheduled at 11:00-12:00/ 12:00-1:00.




Since you also have to EAT, you want to EAT FIRST then go on your thirty minute walk. 







What you should eat should consist of three good things complex carbs, protein and two hands of veggies.

Now, for those thirty minutes-again walk 3-4 streets-try to add a street for lunch of course while repeating your positive affirmations.






Next is dinner time or the evening as I like to say (more elegant) ;D






If you’re having your dinner at 630/7-you want to do the same thing walk right after dinner. Now you’re like GIRL I HAVE KIDS!

Well girl, did you know that going outside at night when the sun sets actually puts you to sleep AND walking on crash bare feet before bed (rinse your feet of course!)puts you to sleep?






PLUS YOU WILL HAVE REACHED 15K PLUS STEPS! I promise you! You can use MyfitnessPal of the Health App on Apple (sorry Android-I don’t know you!)






Plus it is a fun activity to do with your family instead of bonding with CNN/FOX news-spending time walking with your loved ones (kids or not) increases your communication with others and have better intimacy. 






I have two businesses, products I’m creating, blogging, and YOUTUBE (learning to love it!) and I have to build relationships.

I take my business calls while walking, meditate while walking, plan while walking, create while walking. 





Because these are aligned with your goals-and my plans I created for myself. Whatever you planned for yourself-walking helps creates that for you. 





Now you’re most likely wondering what type of shoes should I be walking in and these are the best shoes on the market!





I tried Nike and they’re good for the gym :D
